AV-IT Intern

GCGCNY has been approved for a government-sponsored AV-IT Intern for our English Ministries.  The intern is approved for 11 weeks, at 25 hrs per week (minimum wage).  Days and hours are flexible. Please see below for some details.

Ineligible applicants:Visa students, those on work permits
Eligible applicants:Canadian citizens; permanent citizens; refugees; 15-30 years old
Applicants do not need to be a student

Job Description

Meeting with supervisors (over zoom):          approx. once every 2 weeks

Preparation for Hybrid Ministries

  • Assist in upgrade of worship service equipment (AV) for hybrid worship
    Document & train others on how to operate equipment for hybrid worship
    Actual operation of equipment for several services
    Video recording & editing and posting online afterwards
  • Assist English congregation cell groups, fellowships, SS, prayer meetings, children’s ministry, evangelism in transition to hybrid model ministries
  • Help pastors record their sermons
  • Help set up online platform for watching Worship Services together
  • Assist in upgrade of church’s systems (Wi-Fi; make easier to stream from office, upgrade system to the parents’ room, help set up AV-IT in big (newer) gym if there’s a joint service)
  • Virtual workshops/podcasts (i.e. Genesis, Alpha)
  • Help with Summer Retreat zoom/live streaming (July 9-11)
  • Automate uploading of worship services

Possible Extra (if time permits)

  • Website
    • Upgrade for people to easily submit prayer requests (confidentially) to prayer ministry and/or pastors, mission prayer requests, food bank clients …
    • Improve current E-bulletin
  • Digitize regular courses (baptism, membership, MasterLife) (learn from outside sources)
  • Video production for Children’s Ministry (assist Pastor Eva)
  • Helping with church archives
  • Assist in upgrade of pastors’ hardware (memory, laptops, virus checking, backup etc.)
